Brooke Word, LCSW

Brooke has been practicing for over 15 years helping clients and families cope with relational problems, domestic violence, disordered eating patterns and substance abuse. Her experience has encompassed grief and/or loss, trauma, emotional regulation and behavioral issues. She enjoys working with people who feel “stuck” in in their current lifestyle, and strives to provide them with helpful remedies to cope and improve their current journey.

She has worked with individuals and families seeking counsel in a wide variety of environments including schools, prisons and university settings. She has particular interest in working with adolescents and their families. She has completed both voluntary and court-ordered individual and family therapies. She strives to help families unify when they are coming through conflict with the goal of identifying commonality.

Formerly employed by Vanderbilt University and Woodland Hills Youth Development Center in Nashville, Brooke is open for individual, couples or group appointments and licensed to practice in Tennessee. Her goal is to help individuals, couples and families develop a greater self-awareness around their behaviors and learn healthier coping strategies.
