Joan Frye, Ph.D. – Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Joan Frye is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. she earned her doctorate degree from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California and completed her internship and post doctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center. Dr. Frye uses and integrative therapeutic approach including psychodynamic, cognitive, mind/body, and interpersonal theories with a focus on evidence-supported practices. She believes that the relationship between the therapist and client is the primary healing force and her goal is to form a positive, warm, nonjudgmental working relationship with each client. It is her hope that each client feel respected, heard and understood in the therapy process.
In addition to psychotherapy services, Dr. Frye provides biofeedback training services to help clients gain a sense of control over physical symptoms of anxiety, chronic pain, and anxiety-related illnesses.
