Kiersen Hoffacker, LMSW (temp)

Kiersen completed her Master of Science in Social Work degree through the University of Tennessee. She has been working in the field of social services since 2014 after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development & Family Relations and a minor in Food & Nutrition. Kiersen has worked as a home visitor for Head Start and a case manager for expectant and parenting teenagers. She completed her graduate school field work with STARS Nashville Student Assistance Program and the Behavioral Health Intervention Program at Vanderbilt Nurse Midwives & Mercury Courts Clinics. Her most recent experience includes working with individuals and groups in a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient setting.

Kiersen believes in a holistic approach to mental health including addressing all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit. Some of the therapeutic modalities she utilizes include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has an interest in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, women’s issues, disordered eating, and body image issues. Kiersen approaches the therapeutic relationship with empathy and non-judgement, recognizing that we have only walked a day in our own shoes. She is passionate about supporting youth and adults in navigating the path towards living their healthiest, most fulfilling lives.
